About me
An eye surgeon, an attentive listener.
In over 15 years of experience I have held the position of Advanced Specialization in Vitreoretinal Surgery at the Istituto Oftalmico Fatebenefratelli in Milan. In the same Department I served as Acting Department Director and Head of the Vitreoretinal Surgery and Ocular Traumatology Unit (Emergency Department). A path that has allowed me to face complex cases every day, from routine to emergencies.

Surgery begins with a conversation.
What I always explain is this: surgery is part of the work, but the conversation comes first. I want you to know exactly what we're looking at, why we're doing it, what the options are, and what to expect.
Many patients ask me whether they should be afraid. The honest answer is: almost never. Today's techniques are highly advanced and most procedures are quick and painless. There's no need to worry — I'm here to walk you through everything.
